I worked several years on Omani projects. I travelled a lot to this country and I feel myself extremely lucky to know it: to meet the lovely people and even get friends there, to see the tremendous mountains with the wadis where the time seems as it stopped, to go to the endless desert into the middle of nowhere and feel the hot wind on my face, the listen the sound of the wild ocean. Even through I started to feel in the last years that Oman is changing as more and more people discover it as holiday destination, it will remain as the island of peace in my memory.
